Equestrian Program Assistant - (Washington, CT)

The Devereux Glenholme School in Washington, CT is in need of 1 (1) Equestrian Program Assistant. This is a full-time 40 hour position with essential duties such as the following:Essential duties for the position include: Perform all horse-care and stable duties, Feed hay and grain, Adjust blankets as needed in winter, Put on and take off fly masks and apply fly spray in summer, Turn horses out and bring them back in, Dump, clean and fill water buckets in stalls and pastures, Muck stalls, change bedding as needed, Sweep aisles, Provide instruction to vocational students in stable management and horse care, Schedule hay/grain delivery and veterinary/farrier/saddle fitter services with relevant providers as necessary, Complete purchase orders for required items/services, Organize special quarterly equestrian program events, Develop equestrian student schedule, Transition students to and from the barn, Provide individual instruction as required, Tack and un-tack horses for lessons
