Elder companion - (Lake Jackson, TX)

As an Elder companion, I am ideal for those who spend much of their time alone and require some assistance with basic daily tasks. Family members can work or handle other activities -- or simply take a few hours of respite -- while their loved 1 has company and some supervision. As a Companion I will also provide valuable social benefits, decreasing isolation and improving quality of life. With my experience spending time with seniors, some warm relationships have formed while serving as a consistent companion on the job. The bonus is, it is enjoyable for me and the person I visit. I worked for 9 mnths with ActionS of Brazoria County working with seniors playing games and serving meals while providing a friendly atmosphere. For the past year, I have lived with my 90-year-old mother, providing daily preparing meals, shopping, and preparing her medications for the week. I was born and raised locally, a lifetime member of a local church, and have excellent references.
