Compassionate, Professional Caregiver/Companion for your Senior Loved One - (San Antonio, TX)
I enjoy working 1 on one with someone. I enjoy knowing that I can make a difference in that person's life. I am very patient and I try to be as understanding as possible. I always try to think of myself in their position and what would I want. I have personally gone through medical issues and I know what it feels like to depend on someone for care and help. Caring for others is an extension of my love. Other than working in the hospital with gynecological cancer patients, etc., I have personally cared for a private individual for the last 6 years. I have been a companion for her and have assisted her with errands, doctor visits, shopping and light things around the home. Although I do some medical for her since she has lymphadema/leg wounds, most of my care has been in assisting with things that are difficult for her to accomplish alone. I also cared for my own father who died from pancreatic cancer. It was a blessing to be able to care for him in his last days.
