Clinical Counseling Experience Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners, CO 2016 – Present Crisis Clinician/Counselor • Provide individuals, children, families crisis intervention for clients with variety of presenting problems • Evaluate complex behavioral health situations, then develop, recommend, and support clinically appropriate crisis interventions to be implemented with individual clients, their families, and a wide variety of community helpers, including law enforcement and EMS personnel • Receive incoming calls from clients, families, law enforcement, community helpers and assess situations and behaviors as presented • Counsel, negotiate, mediate and intervene with callers to defuse crisis intensity and prevent self-harm or harm to others • Determine and recommend appropriate interventions and deliver clinical crisis interventions • Provide details and referrals to available community programs, as may be indicated • Initiate follow-up calls to check on clients’ welfare and encourage service
